Jerome Sydenham is an accomplished electronic music producer, DJ and multi-record label owner known for establishing several genres within the House and Techno music diaspora with hits such as ‘Timbuktu’ and ‘Sandcastles’. An award-winning A&R past at Atlantic Records—allowed Sydenham to work with multi-platinum artists such as En-Vogue, Snow, Das EFX and Simply Red to name a few.
Over the years Sydenham has procured a global roster of highly regarded talent on his labels, representing both young innovators and seasoned pioneers. Jerome appears in clubs and festivals worldwide and appears frequently at Berlin’s famed Berghain /Panorama Bar which also played host to Ibadan Records the 20th label anniversary party where Sydenham brought together Fred P, Ron Trent, Timmy Regisford, The Martinez Brothers, Seth Troxler and Lil’ Louis under the same roof.
Now residing in Berlin, Sydenham is still at the cutting edge of dance music; pioneering it through its various mutations over the years.
His own imprint – Ibadan Records – started its journey in New York City back in 1995 with a string of house music classics. The record label prides itself on being a groundbreaking tastemaker deeply rooted in the influences of colorful New York life as represented in its range repertoire with the highest regard to quality.
